What began six years ago on the magical island Ibiza, is now a worldwide phenomenon that takes place in stadiums and arenas around the globe. #DLDK has been held in Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, Scotland, Spain, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
Don’t Let Daddy Know returned to the Netherlands for the sixth edition of #DLDK in the massive Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam! Expectations were high, caused by a full and complete line-up with the best DJ’s from various genres. People from over 75 countries travelled to Amsterdam to enjoy the madness they created together. Flags floated in the air, confetti fluttered down slowly and the crowd danced as they never danced before. Definitely a weekend to remember!
Friday was a perfect start of this unforgettable weekender. Vini Vici rocked the stage with a lot of famous melodies followed by their hard and unique psy-trance bass. They pleased the crowd as they played “Great Spirit” supported with lasers, smoke and confetti. The duo raised the tempo, such as the experience. The crowd woke up immediately and were excited to continue the night. Third Party changed the harder atmosphere into an oasis of ecstasy with their amazing feel good melodies like “Every day of my life” and “Lions in the wild”.
After this stunning set the stage was reserved for Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano who brought madness to the Ziggo Dome with floating balloons, lots of confetti and sparkling DLDK bracelets that where provided to the crowd. I should call it a perfect intro for the headliner of the night: Steve Angello.
He started his set as expected with a long and impressive introduction followed by his unique sounds. As his set continued he treated the crowd with a mashup of “Calling”, “Reload” and “Payback”. At this point DLDK was peaking; People were screaming, dancing, and enjoying every beat that was played. The night continued with harder styles from W&W and ended with new music from Headhunterz. And the best thing of all… This was only the first night!
We entered the Ziggo Dome for the 2nd day just a few minutes after Nicky Romero opened his set. Nicky Romero who has been playing for a long time in the sub top deserves to climb up! We are looking forward for more music like “Let me feel” and “The moment”. His set was supported with the coolest visuals on the brand new DLDK screens behind the desk. DLDK brought an entirely new production to this very first edition of their World Tour. The Ziggo Dome was the perfect place for the massive stage-design and top-notch visuals. DLDK succeeded in creating an atmosphere of togetherness in this huge nightclub supported by the amazing good-looking crowd.
The headliner of the night Axwell ^Ingrosso brought the crowd in ecstasy with old classics and new music like “One- Swedish house mafia” And “Dreamer”. The couple enjoyed playing in Amsterdam a lot and posted a picture of DLDK on social media saying: Amster Damnn we look good!
The night continued with sounds of Nervo and Timmy Trumpet who had been playing earlier that night in Turin, Italy. Nervo played “Final song” which expressed the mood of that moment very well. The crowd needed more music and they got what they asked for!
Thank you DLDK – Amsterdam!
